1. Q: May I nominate a faculty member that leads or has led an office for women's careers?
A: Yes. While these awards previously excluded nominees who had led such offices and initiatives,
all faculty may now be nominated. This would also apply for those who lead or have led hospital or
departmental faculty development office.
2. Q: May I nominate a department chair?
A: Yes. We believe that most department chairs would be considered for the Martin Award as they hire
and manage the promotions process and are key leaders at HMS/HSDM.
3. Q: May I nominate a Dean?
A: No. Those with decanal roles are not eligible.
