Women are faced by unique financial challenges. In addition to a persistent wage gap, women are more likely to drop out of the work force to be caregivers and build less wealth overtime. Eryn Schultz of Her Personal Finance will join us to discuss the financial impact of taking time out of the work force and why the investing gap is arguably more important than the wage gap. Her talk will also cover a framework for achieving your money goals. Should you pay off debt first or invest for retirement? Is renting really throwing money away? How much cash should you have on hand? We hope to see you 10/19.  Register for this virtual event (Harvard or HMS Affiliated email address is required).

In 2015, she graduated from Harvard Business School, and realized that her and her classmates were better equipped to manage a corporate balance sheet than their own finances. Through her online classes, she has helped hundreds of students decide how to balance paying off student loans with saving for retirement, figure out how much cash to keep on hand, and finally feel confident investing outside of a 401K. Eryn has spoken to women's groups across the country, and has been featured in many national publications including Forbes and NPR.
